I want to paint my own wheels black but i need tips for it! Can anyone help me out. And would aircraft paint remover work, or is there something better to remove the chrome off my wheels.

The chrome plating is metal. You can’t get it off with paint remover. If you’re intent on having black wheels, just buy a set. Otherwise you’ll have to sand-blast the ones you have which can be cost prohibitive.

Use Yellow pages and select all Electro plating works in Auto section…

call at least 5 people and take a quote…

I bought great wheels from Discount Tires. I bought them a year ago and I love them. Mine are not chrome but they are specialty designer wheels. Check out Discount Tire website. Good luck

I just bought a used car with chrome rims. They appear tarnished and have a dull bronze film on them. I assume break dust and grime. I tried some chrome polish but it didn’t do much, it seems that I should clean them before I try and polish them. What is the best product to use?
