I have a 2007 Chevy Impala. I was looking to get some new rims. It has that tire pressure monitoring system on it. If I get new rims can I just take the sensors out of the old rims and put them in the new ones? Or can I just put the new wheels on the car and not worry about the whole system? Any problems to look out for when doing this?

I just bought a 2007 Expedition..I put 22s on it. But the factory wheels had the sensors in the wheels to monitor tire pressure…The guy said I could put them on the new wheels but it would cost alot. I need a special larger band to strap the sensors to the rims cause they are 22s .The system can not be deactivated by Ford for safety reasons…So I get a constant alarm with light all the time..They communicate to the car computer via radio transmission. I had all 4 sensors mounted inside the spare in the back but that didn’t work….Anyone got any better ideas?

I recently acquired an old Schwinn racing bike that has Sun Mistral rims, and I need to know how much air pressure they can withstand. Thanks in advance!
